ANNUAL AVEDA INSTITUTE MAINE TRASHION SHOW
The first Earth Day was on April 22, 1970, and is widely credited with launching todays “modern environmental movement”. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. At Aveda, it’s our lifelong mission to preserve the planet and ensure clean water for all, which is why Earth Month is our favorite month
Aveda Institute Maine and the Natural Resources Council of Maine come together each year to host the annual AVEDA TRASHION SHOW to raise money for Earth Month by showcasing students inspiration, creativity, and technical skills in hair, makeup, and fashion. Using the Earth as their muse, students design and create a comprehensive look that celebrates beauty, fashion, and AVEDA's mission to care for the world we live in.
